Scope and Contents This document is a roster of the Union troops of the 8th Regiment Artillery of New York commanded by Colonel James M. Watson as of February 1865. W.S. Williamson was listed as the adjutant. It lists the number of men lost during service by disease or mortal wounds.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a letter dated 1914, written by Richard Laracy, veteran, recounting his Civil War experiences to a friend. The letter outlines Laracy's experience at the Battle at Gettysburg. He was a Union soldier in Culter's 1st Division, 1st Corps. Included are the original letter and a photocopy.
