Abstract This collection consists of the accumulated working papers of professor, historian, and author Dr. Walter H. Conser Jr. between the years 1970 and 2014. Throughout this period Dr. Walter Conser wrote, compiled, and/or edited nine major works, over twenty academic papers, and various lectures, speeches and presentations. Scope and Contents The Hugh Zachary Papers contain materials pertaining to Zachary's career as a writer and consist of research materials, notes, manuscript proposals, outlines, and drafts of his work. The bulk of the materials included in this collection pertain to Zachary's research for the White Indian book series, of which he authored 14 books under the pen name, Donald Clayton Porter. Scope and Contents

The Clifford Collection of African (Ghana, Cameroon, Zaire, Liberia, Angola, Guinea), Pre-Columbian and early Mayan art includes figures, craft work, utensils, bowls, weapons, paintings, drawings, textiles, religious icons and photos of individual art pieces noting origin, composition, and approximate age, and appraised value.
