Biographical Note
Frank Shaw was born in New York City in 1932 and graduated from Syracuse University, where he taught English and theater. After military service in Korea, Shaw studied acting in New York with Uta Hagen and was a member of David Shepard ’s improvisational company at the Loft theater workshop. Shaw appeared in an off-Broadway play, “Prometheus Bound,” with Al Pacino at the Judson Hall Memorial Theater; he was also cast in the film “The Night They Raided Minsky’s” and in Mel Brooks’ musical, “The Producers.”
