Of significance in this collection are two documents relating to the end of the Civil War and the Confederacy, including an Oath of Loyalty to the Union and a President's Warrant of Pardon for Mary M. Jones.

Biographical Note

The Lazenby family's ancestry can be traced back to approximately 420 to 600 A.D. Mary Elinor Lazenby of Washington, DC  outlines the family's history in Lazenby: Being Such Account as I have Been Able to Collect of the Families in the United States Bearing the Name.
