Alice Morriss Fechtig Post Card Collection

This collection contains several albums of postcards, loose postcards, photographs, and two bound copies of letters and cables written by Alice Fechtig to her father during her European tour, June 6 - September 16, 1929. Many of the postcards in the collection are in color and include major European tourist attractions. Other countries included in the collection are the United States, the Caribbean islands, Russia, and Japan.

Scope and Contents The American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 10 of Wilmington was charted September 13, 1919 by fifteen World War I veterans in accordance with US 41 Stat. 284. Anchram H. and Elizabeth K. Evans Civil War Letters

Scope and Contents This collection consists of correspondence between Anchram Harris Evans, a Confederate soldier during the Civil War from Brunswick County, NC, and his wife Elizabeth Kelly Evans (she is referred to as either "Bettie" or "Lizzie" in the letters). There are a handful of letters to or from other family members, as well as typed transcripts of the letters by their grandson, Troy Henry, from 1956. The bulk of the correspondence occured in 1864, but letters span the duration of the war from 1861...
