Wood Cross, 1942

Description

This folder contains a wooden cross made from a cedar or cypress tree on the knoll where St. Paul's new church was contructed, the tree was cut down in order to make room for the new building.

Also in this folder is the original envelope and letter that accompanied the cross, sent to Reverand John S. Armfield- Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Chrurch, from the carver of the cross, Alexander Miller. AS well as a more current letter describing the cross and it's origin.
