Scope and Contents Ths folder contains two photographs. "Rough Riders" at the Southport Garrison and "Burial of a member of the Register Family." Information on the Boys Brigade: The Boys' Brigad was founded on St. Valentine's day, 1896, by Col. Walker Taylor (1864 - 1937). The Wilmington Boys Brigade was modeled on a successful club in Scotland.  The only requirement for membership was enrollment in any Sunday School and pledge regular attendance.  Initially all the boys lived in Dry Pond, attended Sunday...
