Contains plans and specifications for additions being made to St. James. A 1959 letter includes two photographs of the churchyard prior to the school building addition.

Contains material related to the history, replacement, and dedication of the church windows, including the stained glass and those in Mt. Lebanon Chapel.

Contains burial plot information related to specific families, including for the Corbett family at Mt. Lebanon Chapel and a metal box placed in the grave of Lt. William Green.

Contains four photographs of Rev. Watson. Two are duplicates, one of which is on paper from a book or other printed publication.

Contains the original articles of agreement for the church from September 1765, as well as a photocopy. Also contains a written document describing the lot and style of the church to be built at Third and Market Streets. Document is undated, though likely circa 1765.

Contains 18 sets of architectural drawings, floor plans, and a topographic survey for the main church building and grounds, including of renovations and additions to the parish, gardens, Sunday school, and kitchen.

Contains correspondence, financial information, and supply needs related to the construction of the new church building, which was deemed necessary in 1837 given the poor state of the original 1770 church. It also contains the original document proclaiming the cornerstone of the new church building was laid in 1839, as well as the original document stating the new church was consecrated in 1840. Typescripts and a photocopy of the document are also included.

Contains newspaper articles from local Wilmington papers detailing the history of St. James, as well as the June 18, 1939 issue of the Sunday Star-News celebrating Wilmington's 200th anniversary, which includes a history of the church. A typescript of the article is included.

Contains addresses, services, newspaper clippings, programs, and photographs of Bishop Thomas Campbell Darst, D.D. (1875-1948), who served as Bishop of the Diocese of East Carolina from 1915-1945. Bishop Darst's consecration and retirement ceremonies were both held at St. James Church. Also includes a photograph of Bishop Darst with Bishop Thomas H. Wright at Wright's consecration as bishop at St. James in 1945, following Darst's retirement.

Contains programs, invitations, photographs, and two newspaper articles from Bishop Wright's consecration at St. James in October 1945.
