Articles of agreement and description of church, 1765 September, undated
Contains the original articles of agreement for the church from September 1765, as well as a photocopy. Also contains a written document describing the lot and style of the church to be built at Third and Market Streets. Document is undated, though likely circa 1765.
Architectural drawings and floor plans, 1922-1994, undated
Contains 18 sets of architectural drawings, floor plans, and a topographic survey for the main church building and grounds, including of renovations and additions to the parish, gardens, Sunday school, and kitchen.
Cornerstone document, 1839
Contains the original document proclaiming the cornerstone of the new church building was laid in 1839. A second copy is also included, as well as two typescript versions and a photocopy.
Newspaper articles, 1923-1945
Contains newspaper articles from local Wilmington papers detailing the history of St. James, as well as the June 18, 1939 issue of the Sunday Star-News celebrating Wilmington's 200th anniversary, which includes a history of the church. A typescript of the article is included.
