Biographical Note

Susan Taylor Block, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, was a poet, author and historian. Her books include three photographic histories of the Lower Cape Fear; Along the Cape Fear, Cape Fear Lost and Cape Fear Beaches; Wilmington Through the Lens of Louis T. Moore; Airlie: The Garden of Wilmington; Belles and Blooms: Cape Fear Garden Club and the N. C. Azalea Festival; Temple of our Fathers: St. James Church (1729-2004). Tales of a Shirtmaker: A Jewish Upbringing in North Carolina was written with her husband Frederick L. Block.
