Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the genealogies and a chronology of important dates and events that have occurred in the Perry and Cherry families. A copy of the research establishing the Perry-Cherry House as a certified location on The National Register of Historic Places is included in this collection. The document begins with the birth of Roderick Cherry in 1790 through the ownership of Marcus C.S. Cherry III in 1985. On March 13, 1986, the Perry-Cherry house was entered on the National Register of Historic Places. This historic landmark is located at 308 W. Main Street, Mt. Olive, North Carolina.
