This series includes research and notes associated with the subject matter and writing of Sacred Spaces by Walter Conser (1999), A Coat of Many Colors by Walter Conser (2006), Presbyterians in North Carolina by Walter Conser and Robert Cain (2011), and other publications related to the study of religions in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina. Included are photocopied articles, books in whole or part and associated handwritten notes, articles, magazines, newspapers, brochures, correspondence, and memorabilia; also included are correspondence between Dr. Walt Conser and various institutions concerning permission rights for publishing purposes. Information on many of the Cape Fear region places of worship are represented in this series. Of note is the collection of papers associated with Presbyterianism in the Cape Fear and the United States. The original order is maintained.
