Contains materials pertaining to real estate transactions of Wilmington’s Block 189, the parameters being N. Twelfth Street, Dock Street, N. 13th Street, and Orange Street. These documents include envelopes, plat drawings, single sheets of notes, correspondence, mortgage certificates, deeds, and Mechanics' Home Association documents. Names of specific people mentioned in these records include Jefferson Xanthos, Demetrious Xanthos, H. H. Ford, George L. Morton, Reynolds, Yales, Yates, Jacob Hartman, Assa Ross, Williamson, Mary Elizabeth Smith, Smith, and George Whitehead. This list is not conclusive, as many records are incomplete or illegible.
