Scope and Contents
Contains typecripts and photocopies of colonial-era records, such as local meeting minutes and North Carolina state laws, related to the early days and membership of St. James, as well as those who were instrumental in its founding. Included are typescripts of colonial records held at the New Hanover County Library, and 1963 with London libraries regarding a request for War Office records from the Revolutionary War. 1980 correspondence contains typescript sections of the initial monetary bequest by William Flavell in 1737 towards an "English Church" and a description of the St. James Church metes and bounds from the Fulham Papers of the Lambeth Palace Library.
