Contains materials pertaining to real estate transactions of Wilmington’s Block 4, the parameters being S. Second Street, Meares Street, S. Third Street, and Marsteller Street. These documents include envelopes and packets, plat drawings, single sheets of notes, business correspondence, mortgage certificates, deeds, description of the locations, receipts, newspaper clippings, and specifications. Names of specific people mentioned in these records include D. Newman, W. Z. Corbett, Geo Richardson, Potter, Mary Stewart Landers, Wm Shaw, Samuel Purdie, Eagles, and Stephens. This list is not conclusive, as many records are incomplete or illegible.
